Two armchairs designed by Gigi Radice. Made by Minotti in the 1950s.
From a apartment in central Rome, wood structure was made firm, padding replaced, belts replaced and upholstered with an Italian woven green high pile sage green writing velvet.
Upholsterer have used different density foam for perfect confort. This is the second group. He kept the full rounded padding on the frame but kept the coupe effect on the front frame. See the photos.
Upholsterer/restaurer said it is the most beautiful velvet he has seen. He said it ought to be Rubelli. I have no certification of that however best is to send a sample for seeing the real thing.
Solid brass feet.
A beautiful comfortable iconic Mid-Century Modern armchair that would enhance your living room or your studio.
