Set of six flutes from Nason e Moretti, made in Murano in one of the best Murano company.
Their work is impeccable and done with finesse and a high concept of quality.
Celebration present and a collectors set. Exclusive color and the special feature of changing color with the sun movement will make a conversation point.
The main part is in Alessandrite a color made with Neodymium (it’s also called Neodymium glass)
As Alessandrite gemstone and for the same principle, the glass changes its color depending on the light.
For low kelvin (sunset) colors it produces a pink amethyst color, high kelvins (daylight) instead goes to a blue almost aquamarine.
On the photos you see it blue because my board is 5000 k (cast sunlight) still on the massive part of the bottom of the glass you see the rose color appearing.
Nason e Moretti has one of the best location of Murano, with it’s own dock and garden. They carry the most important tradition of Murano: self made crucible colors.
This is a tradition that is carried probably by a hand-full companies. Most of the glass makers are now using pre made glass from Effetre or Bulls Eye. Nason and Moretti have it’s own color formula for each color and they have such an interesting palette. Several greens and blues not just the classic aquamarine, bluino etc.
Whoever goes to Murano (at the time of writing it’s not so easy) go and take a look.
