Description
Extremely rare set of glass goblets. There are 12 and this is the listing if someone is interested in the set of 6.
The cup and foot base are in cobalt blue. This style of cup is what was considered a Champagne glass in the 50s and 60s.
There is a complex baroque motif connected to the blown stem of each glass. Every part of the stem is embedded with has 24K gold leaf. The glasses are completely hand made.
This is the smaller set of 6 from an original set of 12.
An incredible find. Each is large enough to be considered a small vase.
There was a reason this shallow round bowl shape was intended to be used for Champagne, it was in order to feel the sparkling sensation on the nose, and the bouquet. Today it would also serve a martini, or even be used as a gelato cup.
