Description
Stylish set of 6 Martini or Champagne Cenedese goblets.
Shape is inspired from the Caravaggio painting of young Bacchus. This is the champagne glass that was used as champagne glass up to the 1970s when than it was replaced with the flute.
Clear vetro neutro Cenedese glass, the swirled sphere is in a vibrant cobalt blue. Stem is blown and hand opened.
A great present for an unique celebration. For a seaside luminous house.
Pieces are signed.
Personal note. The shift from shallow cup to flute was probably made in early 1980s not to get the tickling of champagne on the nose and longer perlage timing. It looses the possibility of doing the right tasting and feeling the bouquet.
Special thanks to Ettore and his Canon for the nice artistic photos. Highlighting the details in an talented way.
