I knew these as sconces, this is how you can find them seldomly.
They are beautiful as single sconces, and showed them to Carlo. He told me its was designed as a modular element for flush mount wall or ceiling sculpture.
He showed me Mazzega old catalog and I realized how interesting the design is and the genius behind.
No matter how you place the elements, the two angles are making it working. The glass element is a square that is 44/45 cm (18in) corner to corner or 31/32 cm (12in) side to side.
Whoever asks I have a picture of Carlo making a paper element to show how it works.
Glass is thick, piastra work, clear, best representing the contemporary style. From a villa in Padova (Padua).
It’s very hard to get good pictures of clear glass however I tried my best. Look at all pictures to see the various compositions.
Backplate measures about 20 x 20 cm and attachment holes are 19 cm.
