Giulio Lazzotti Grata re-edition. Made under the author designer personal supervision in Pietrasanta.
Here Giulio played with the cutting parallel grooves on both sides of the marble slabs. Creating a grid of open holes where the two parallel lines are meeting.
Using the same technique used for the Coprimacchia, where the parts are coming from the same marble cut so that the veins are continuous.
An historic and elegant Italian Carrara Marble cocktail table, designed and manufactured in the world’s center of Marble.
Award winning design made for Up and Up at the end of the 1970s.
Giulio lives in Pietrasanta, the Murano of marble and knows every quarry and laboratory. This marble is a veined Carrara that resembles the Statuarietto and the Arabescato, both seared breccia. The vein web design of this marble are the best to highlight Giulio’s design. Carrara Fiorito.
This sculptural cocktail table was named by Giulio Grata. He used again a pun using the double meaning of Grata as grid and thankful.
In the 1980s, Giulio have had most of his designs with Mageia, a leader company in Marble furniture. A few pieces with Bernini and Up and up. His 1980s iconic table Vietato Bagnarsi continues to have success with Cattelan. I recall Lazzotti and Mangiarotti were considered the two designers of the marble industries in the 1980s Saloni.
Ships only via white glove with Tramo, crated and fully insured. With inside delivery and debris removal.
Giulio updated the design to a rectangular cocktail table. This is the one listed. The original 80 x 80 is available upon request.
