Jan Exnar work. Made in the period he was looking for purity of shapes and color. Fused glass technique. Glass appears to be crystal or neutral glass.
Incredible work of refinement with the surfaces plain and the ability to polis undercut part at the bottom. I still can not tell how this was achieved.
Very heavy, prismatic effect with light enhances this authentic modern geometrical sculpture.
Part of a trittico of sculptures.
Jan Exnar is a very well known glass sculpturist and painter part of the Czech Studio glass movement and an early follower of Stanislav Libensky and Jaroslava Brychtova. He shares with them the need of essentiality.
