Bespoke chandelier with three arms that are counterbalanced. That allows to move the arms up and down. The heads are on a pivotting joint to they can reach any desired angle.
This chandelier features threw different blue color on the shades, creating an appealing soft contrast inbetween each arm. Counterbalance weight repeats the color with even more play.
A color selection that was created by Dana Feller, a talented interior designer from Water Mill NY, it came so gracious that it had to be shared with 1stdibs audience. Brass is polished for the nice contrast with the color selected.
A midcentury design chandelier with modern color combination.
Made by a lab specialized in midcentury restoration. Owner is a collector himself and fine connoisseur of the period. This chandelier takes it’s inspiration from the triennale Arredoluce floor lamp commonly attributed to Angelo Lelli but a cluster of specialists are more incline to be a Vittoriano Viganò design. There are also reminiscences of Sarfatti’s works and Giuseppe Ostuni, with the use of primary colors on the shades.
Everything is done with a passion for details and materials. The finish and the appearance is the same of the originals that are now extremely difficult to find in good conditions.
Shades: Each shade is 11in;/27.5cm and carries two bulbs, a candelabra socket on the smaller upper cone and a regular socket on the larger lower dome shaped shade. Shade have adjustable head so that the higher Lumen output can be directed to the desired area and the opposite would have ambiance light. Shades are made in spun aluminum with the typical line of small holes.
Arms and body: Made in natural solid brass and hand patinated. Each arm has counter-weight in the same color of the opposite shade.
