Beautiful Carlo Sarpa designed tumbler size glassware.
Extremely light. Each glass is 50/60 grams (about two ounces). Egg skin thickness.
Very elegant and incredible to touch and weight. A perfect present or a self-gift. Also with the set there is a round serving plate.
Made on the Galliano Ferro teardrop style.
Base reads and other identifications, references: No label. Not possible that would carry a signature due to the glass being so thin. The glasses are probably made at Venini furnace.
The sizes are identical to the glass water of the Carlo Scarpa set. Might be part of a special set as cobalt blue over clear glass is not common and not on Venini catalogue. Production of this set continued from Carlo Scarpa direction till now. It’s hard to assign a decade, the only element is the use of the cobalt rim. For this I am assigning it to the mid-1980s, when cobalt had a moment of popularity.
There are seven glasses in the set but one has a little flaw, see pictures.
