This beautiful chandelier carries 58 discs made with the rullati technique. The same technique was used to make Renaissance windows. Opaline color, a difficult color now not possible to produce, hand opened and flattened. Chrome hardware.
Carlo Nason told me he designed the opaline versions for Mazzega of this chandelier.
There is a common attribution to Vistosi on this chandelier, so diffused, that I am keeping it as in the style of. This is important to keep as this is widely known as The Vistosi chandelier in research.
Evaluation assessment: By complexity of manufacturing and quality of both hardware and glass. The piece is evaluated by the beauty and not by the attribution .
